Tatsu Ramen Quick Review

One of the restaurants on Sawtelle has been replaced by a new ramen place called Tatsu Ramen. They claim that everything is natural and hand made. Things look different as soon as you walk in.

There are 3 iPads on the wall showing an interactive menu which you use to make your selection for  your ramen.  Next, you select your drink then you can pay by credit card or cash. If you select credit card, you swipe it on the bottom of the iPad. If you select cash, you just get a printed bill.

After ordering, you seat yourself at a table or at the counter and wait for your ramen. If you are at the counter, you can watch the chef make your ramen right in front of you.

The ramen is very authentically Japanese and will be what you will get in any good ramen place in Japan. The noodle itself is perfect and the broth is great.

The high tech gadgets just makes it more fun for geeks like me to visit but anybody with a taste of ramen the way they make it in Japan should come here.

  1. I've never had "real" ramen before, but that looks delicious! I assume it's completely different from the stuff I chowed on all through college?
