Sushi Joint Quick Review

Glendale is not known for sushi but I decided to check out this Sushi Joint located in a strip mall. It’s easy to see that this is not an authentic Japanese sushi place, but they’re not trying to be. To make things easy, I ordered the “Assorted Sushi Platter” ($16) which is 8 pieces of chef’s choice shown below, which comes with miso soup. The miso soup comes with a spoon, which makes sure that you realize this is not an authentic kind of place.

The fish was fresh, but the rice was inconsistently hard and soggy and the ponzu was too mild. But the price is very reasonable and you get what you pay for. At least the waitresses are very upbeat and helpful.

So if you don’t care about authenticity, and want very reasonable priced sushi, and you’re not extra picky about your sushi, this might be a good place for you to check out.
