Morinoya Japanese Restaurant Mini Review – Part 4

Since I’ve already reviewed their sushi, I decided to try their Sashimi Dinner Set ($25) on this outing. All the dinner sets come with one of the following choices:

  • Vegetable Tempura (sweet potato, pumpkin, onion, broccoli)
  • Age-dashi Tofu (deep fried tofu in house sweet sauce)
  • Tori no Kara-age (deep fried chicken)
  • Nasu Miso (pan-fried eggplant in miso sauce)

I decided to try the veggie tempura (shown below), which I could tell was prepared for me and not pre-cooked. I would prefer a larger dipping sauce dish but the tempura was good for the most part.

The Sashimi comes with miso soup and rice and is shown above. The sashimi quality was good, and prepared and presented properly. Personally, I would have preferred to have no tempura and more sashimi, but that might be asking too much.

As you can tell from my re-visits, this is my go-to-place for now. All in all, everything was acceptable or better, and although nothing spectacular to write about, definitely worth another visit to try yet other dishes here.
