Cochinoman tech, sushi, poker
Somehow, my review of Bamboo Izakara in Santa Monica got lost in the shuffle. Unfortunately, I don’t remember much of the details of my trip except that for the most part, the food was good.
First up was Salmon and avocado rice paper wrap shown below.
Next up, was the black cod truffle with ponzu chilli paste.
That was followed by the Sashimi plate with Yellow tail, salmon, tuna, and scallop.
And then the sushi plate with crab, shrimp, halibut, salmon, yellowtail and a roll made from tuna, egg, red snapper, avocado. For me, the sushi was okay but I would not come here specifically for the sushi.
Lastly, the dessert was chocolate genash and kiwi.
Overall, I love the ocean view location with outside seating, and the food was fresh and well prepared. It’s a little pricey but location costs money. I would not come here specifically for the sushi but it is good enough to have with the other dishes.
