Toshi Sushi Little Tokyo Review
It’s been a while since I’ve gone to a new place in Little Tokyo for sushi so I decided to try Toshi on 1st Street in the heart of Little Tokyo in downtown Los Angeles. There’s some street parking but no lot specifically for the restaurant is available.
The restaurant is tiny but it does have a small sushi bar, along with a few tables, and even window seating. Since this was my first trip here, I decided to play it completely safe and ordered the Hiyayakko (cold tofu – $4.50) as my appetizer.
For my main course, I ordered the Sushi Combination ($21.95) that you can see below. Everything was fresh and prepared correctly.
The service was very good and yes, they do have free hot green tea.
Can you find sushi cheaper elsewhere? Yes. The prices here are only a tab bit more than those “fast good” sushi places and you get fully authentic Japanese food and sushi here. That along with the good service, and friendly sushi chef makes this place a great stop in downtown Little Tokyo. I will be returning here for other dishes.
