Sony Playstation PS4 Sneak Peek
After hearing that the release date for Watch Dogs had been pushed back, I decided that I needed to take a look at the PS4 and returned to the Century City Sony store. As you can see below, the unit is fairly small, especially compared to the original PS3. The design is very sleek and sexy and would fit nicely in any home entertainment system.
In fact, the unit is so sleek, except for the 2 USB plugs, I couldn’t even find any other ports or connectors. Obviously, it has to at least have a HDMI port and a power plug, but I guess they had it hidden in the back.
I wish I could report back that they had fantastic demos of Watch Dog and other new-gen games but there was nothing of the sort. Other than the actual hardware, it was just game play videos and old PS3 demos, except for Knack, which is fun to play but certainly does not show off any new-gen graphics or AI.
The only thing I got to do was touch the hardware in the flesh. Beyond that, I can only cross my fingers and hope that all the hype will be delivered on launch next month.
