Tired of wearing your worn out hoodie out on a date? Want to look professional at work but don’t want to look stuffy in a suit jacket? Betabrand has the perfect solution for you with this Executive Hoodie. Yes, they made a hoodie using the same kind of 100% superfine merino wool that would be used in a upscale fancy pin-striped suit jacket.
As you can see, except for the hoodie, the rest looks a lot like a regular pin-striped jacket. The current price is $168, but back when I bought it, it was $134. It’s pricey for a hoodie but not for a real jacket. Of course, since it’s wool, you will have to dry clean it.
As you can see above, the inside of the top hoodie has a gray backing, which gives it a nice contrast.
The pockets on the side can hold your belongings, like your smartphone. Unfortunately, there are no inside pockets. It would have been a nice touch to have at least one for your wallet or at least for your MontBlanc pen.
The sleeve has a built in gray inside sleeve that makes it look like you’re wearing a gray shirt. You’ll never see anything like that in a old school suit jacket sleeve.
Betabrand makes limited runs on everything they make so don’t wait too long or they will be out of stock on these things. Maybe Mark Zuckerberg should start wearing this at his appearances so he looks a little more professional and less like a skate boarding kid. If you want to look professional at your next final table at the WSOP or WPT, this is the perfect solution.
All in all, the quality is excellent, and at least for me, the fit is perfect. Now if only I could get a date so I can wear my new hoodie.
